Q. Who are you?
A. Aloha. My name is Keri. I'm a designer and soul searcher from Kailua, Hawaii. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to follow my passion while spreading good vibes, love, and positivity through my art.
Q. Can you describe your artistic process?
A. Being inspired is key for me. I believe the more of myself I invest in a design, the more successful it will be. My creativity comes in waves... it's never the same. As I am constantly inspired by new things, my ideas are always shifting. Sometimes the creativity flow comes easy, sometimes it doesn't –– but I've learned to accept the process for both.
Q. What inspires you? Any artists that you feel we must know about?
A. The list of things that inspire me is endless and ever-growing. Its foundation consists of nature, love, art and connecting with other humans. Being outside in nature, creating moments, capturing emotions, discussing bigger ideas in life, falling in love with people, places, and things, and watching others do the same. That is my happiness and in turn, my inspiration.
My creativity comes in waves... it's never the same. As I am constantly inspired by new things, my ideas are always shifting.
As an artist living in today's world, I feel my heartstrings pulling me back in time. I have always been more captivated by old-school, vintage things over contemporary. Andy Warhol, Banksy, and The Beatles are a few of my favorite artists.
Q. What are three essential clothing items in your wardrobe?
A. High-waisted shorts, a crop top, and belt are my go-to almost every day of the year. If not my sunglasses, then a flannel... or both. I'm super casual, but I do love to dress up sometimes.
