A.Oei Studio

Vision

Based in Singapore, A.Oei Studio is a bespoke fashion design atelier that prides itself on original textile prints and timeless styles.Inspired by nature, the prints lend a distinct texture to each garment while the silhouettes, constructed with clean lines and soft drapes, are engineered for ease, comfort and versatility.

Through these combinations, our hope is that an A.Oei Studio garment is regarded as a piece of wearable art, kept in use for a long period of time.

Sustainability

A.Oei Studio prioritizes sustainable fashion practices: made-to-order, local production, upcycling, digital fabric printing, and the use of natural fibres like cotton and silk, or regenerated wood-pulp fibres like Tencell-lyocell, sourced from Japan and South Korea.

Additionally, we understand that "off-the-rack" pieces may not fit everyone. Hence, our bespoke services that customize the designs to individual needs.

Altogether A.Oei Studio's end-to-end model minimizes production waste, improves the fit and quality of the design, and fosters meaningful collaborations between the wearer and the maker.

Founder

Angeline trained at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute in the Netherlands where she developed techniques in creative 3D pattern cutting, apparel and textile design. Angeline gained further industry knowledge as a fashion designer for luxury womenswear brands in Antwerp, New York, and Singapore, before launching A.Oei Studio in Seattle and Singapore in 2017. Drawing inspiration from these diverse cultural experiences, Angeline aims to re-contextualize the meaning of fashion for the modern woman.

A.Oei Studio has received award nominations for Singapore Stories 2021, Arts Thread Emerging Talent 2019, and the Pacific Northwest Gray Awards 2019, and is recognized by global publications such asTatler and Harper's Bazaar.
